Januárban nyílt forráskódúvá vált a Zed editor és akkor az volt az egyik fő kérdés a közösség részéről, hogy mikor várható a Linux támogatás. A Zed Industries most hosszas blogbejegyzésben válaszolt a kérdésre. Elolvasható itt. Roadmap itt.
The megamighty Fabrice Bellard just released an audio codec: TSAC. “TSAC compresses a 3.5 minute stereo song to a file of 192 KiB” https://t.co/hvrpVVua8E
Fabrice Bellard (ismert egyebek mellett: QEMU, FFmpeg, Tiny C Compiler, Bellard's formula) kiadta a TSAC nevű eszközt, ami egy nagyon alacsony bitrátával operáló audiotömörítő eszköz. Ezért a TSAC képes egy 192 KiB-os fájlba tömöríteni egy 3,5 perces, sztereó audiofájlt.
Demó oldal itt. README fájl itt. Lefordítható Linuxra (természetesen) és kísérleti jelleggel, elérhető Windowsra (.exe) is.
Release 0.5, and a major step forward as autodafe now has its own configure tool to help you manage whatever guard symbols deconfig couldn't remove outright.
The effect is something like running a generated configure script from autotools, except that…
I was up all night hacking on autodafe, and it was glorious.
I have nailed down the solution - with tests - for the only problem which was really worrying me, which was transforming libtool commands into invocations of your local compiler/linker and getting a sane result.
This means that I'm not many days away from a 1.0 release. To give it a serious test, a friend and I will be pair-programming the transition of a large, old, complex project in mid-May.
I'm hard at work on deconfig, the second tool in the autodafe suite. This one will walk a code tree looking for autotools macros that can be eliminated because the inclusions they're guarding are POSIX or C99.
It's 2024 and that's almost always most of them, leaving a smaller…
OpenSMTPD is a FREE implementation of the SMTP protocol with some common
extensions. It allows ordinary machines to exchange e-mails with systems
speaking the SMTP protocol. It implements a fairly large part of RFC5321
and can already cover a large range of use-cases.
It runs on OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeBSD, DragonFlyBSD, Linux and OSX.
The archives are now available from the main site at www.OpenSMTPD.org
It has a native VVC decoder, IAMF support and multi-threaded CLI tool alongside hundreds of other improvements and new codecs, features, APIs and bugfixes.https://t.co/ncrUWlV9Nj
