• Window management improvements on tiling, mapping and unmapping windows, compositor’s window groups and tracking of full screen windows
• Improved out of the box touchpad support (edge-scrolling and two-finger-scrolling can now be configured independently and are both enabled by default)

Az Icaros Desktop egy előkonfigurált AROS asztali környezet PC platformra. Terjesztése bootolható live média formátumban történik. Az AROS Research Operating System egy nyílt forráskódú, pehelysúlyú, rugalmas, hatékony asztali operációs rendszer, amelynek fejlesztésekor az egyik célkitűzés az AmigaOS 3.1-gyel való API-szintű kompatibilitás, ugyanakkor előrelépés, továbbfejlesztés számos területen.

Paolo Besser a napokban bejelentette, hogy elérhető az Icaros Desktop 2.1-es kiadása. A 2.1 egy point release, azaz csak kisebb változásokat hoz az előző nagyobb kiadáshoz. Változások a 2.0.3-hoz képest:

Stephen M. Webb, a Canonical alkalmazásában álló Mir Display Server projekten dolgozó egyik vezető Google+ oldalán bejelentette, hogy a nemrég hivatalosan bejelentett Vulkan API teljes támogatása megérkezik a Mir-be az Ubuntu 16.04 kiadására.

• The OpenGL Vendor-Neutral Driver (GLVND) infrastructure is now included and supported by the NVIDIA GLX and OpenGL drivers. This should not cause any visible changes in behavior for end users, but some internal driver component libraries have been renamed and/or moved as a result. These changes may affect scripts that rely on the presence of NVIDIA OpenGL driver components other than those specified in the Linux OpenGL ABI version 1.0, maintainers of alternative NVIDIA driver installation packages, and applications which rely on the presence of any non- OpenGL/GLX symbols in the libGL.so.1 library and its dependencies in any way.
